Lake shorelines are dynamic; they continually change due to wind, waves, and ice. These erosive forces, coupled with human impacts from landscape development (e.g. stormwater runoff), result in shoreline erosion and water quality impairment. Our staff, certified by the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership, apply their expertise and experience to find and implement solutions to shoreline erosion. Our shoreline restoration, as well as stand-alone greenbelt improvement projects simultaneously stabilize the shoreline and augment riparian and nearshore habitat. We work closely with property owners throughout the shoreline restoration process to ensure both aesthetic and functional needs are met.
